Six SHST seminarians were admitted to candidacy for holy orders Wednesday. This is an important milestone on their path to priesthood.
At Sacred Heart, candidacy marks the point at which seminarians may wear the Roman collar. Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki presided at the rite.
Admitted to candidacy were (in black, l-r): Jack Sidler of the Diocese of Little Rock; Raymond Powell, Knoxville; George Kuforiji, Portland in Oregon; Nicholas Brown, Honolulu; Luis Miguel Pacheco Calero, Little Rock; and William Roush, Davenport.
