Fifteen seminarians were commissioned for their pastoral ministry assignments at an all-school liturgy Wednesday.
Pictured here with their supervisors, the men accepted a wide range of assignments, including parish work and roles at hospice centers, residences for the elderly and social ministry offices. Their supervisors are clergy or professional parish staff such as pastoral associates or directors of social ministry.
Their student ministry work is an important part of the pastoral formation process. Pastoral formation is one of the four pillars of priestly formation. (The others are human formation, spiritual formation and intellectual formation.)
