Nine nations were represented at Sacred Heart's annual Cultural Fair on Sept. 28. The lunchtime exhibition gives foreign students at the seminary an opportunity to show off their home cultures with displays, including local foods and beverages.
Sacred Heart has about 40 students in its English-as-a-Second-Language program in residence for varying lengths of time throughout the year. They come from from Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Foreign-born seminarians and faculty members also use the fair to show off unique aspects of their native lands.
Represented at this year's Cultural Fair were Brazil, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, Guatamala, Mexico, Poland, Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
